Names

Information
An erect herb, 9–18 dm. tall, stems glabrous to softly pubescent in lower part, pubescent in upper part and inflorescence branches. Leaves variable but generally with deep and narrow to very narrow and even linear segments. Final inflorescence branches 2–5 cm. long. Flowers about 3 cm. diam. Sepals deep blue to green or mixed blue and green; spur typically pointing upwards, stout and straight, 2.5–3 cm. long. Carpels and follicles 3, densely pubescent.
Range
DISTR. U3; K1, 3–6 endemic on Elgon and in the Kenya Highlands
Altitude range
1800–3900 m.
