Information
Shrub or small tree to 4.5(–7) m high, with usually little branched trunk and leaves gathered towards apical part of stems, often in lax terminal rosettes. Leaves including petiole 15–35 cm long; petiole 4–6 cm long; leaflets in 3–8 pairs, all rather similar in size and shape, elliptic or obovate, 4–9.5 x 1.8–3.7 cm, glabrous to pilose below, rounded or rarely acuminate at the apex, asymmetrically cuneate or rounded at the base. Inflorescences terminal or axillary panicles, 30–60 cm long, densely brown pilose; pedicels c. 1 mm long, up to 5 mm in fruit. Sepals 2.5–3.5 x 2–3 mm, triangular to subcircular. Petals white, 3.5–5.5 x c. 2.5 mm. Stamens 12–15; filaments c. 2 mm long, pilose. Ovary 3-lobed, 3-celled, tomentose to glabrescent. Fruit yellow or reddish, developing 1 or 2 cells; cocci obovate to elliptic in outline, 10–14 mm long, pilose. Seeds c. 7 x 4 mm.
