Information
Scandent or straggling perennial, woody below, 0.4–3 m, much-branched with opposite leaves and branches, young branches ± densely greyish-canescent, older branches becoming thinly so, terete and striate. Leaves roundish-ovate, 0.4–2 cm long and broad, moderately furnished with whitish or greyish ± appressed hairs on the upper surface, densely so beneath, obtuse to retuse at the apex, shortly cuneate to subcordate at the base, distinctly petiolate. Inflorescences to c. 12 cm long, axis densely greyish-canescent. Partial inflorescences mostly of 3 fertile flowers. Tepals oblong or lanceolate-oblong, 3–4 mm, densely furnished with lanuginose greyish-white hairs, 3-nerved, the inner slightly shorter. Filaments distinctly expanding towards the base. Style 1–1.5 mm. Mature capsule not seen. Sterile flowers with glabrous, stramineous to brownish bristles 10–16 mm long.
