Information
Scandent shrub or small tree, up to 3.6 m. tall, sometimes with some relatively short bluntly pointed branches at older nodes. Branchlets pubescent with spreading mostly crisped hairs, glabrescent. Leaves 7–11 cm. long; stipules not seen, fugaceous; lateral leaflets 5–8 on either side of rhachis, oblong, 1.2–2.3 cm. long, 0.7–1.1 cm. wide, truncate to slightly emarginate at apex, broadly cuneate to rounded at base, appressed pubescent on both surfaces but only thinly so above; primary lateral nerves ± 8–10 on either side of midrib, somewhat ascending. Panicles axillary on leafy branches, 2–4 cm. long, sparingly branched and somewhat corymbose; axes pubescent; bracts lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, 0.5–1 mm. long, caducous; bracteoles at top of 0.5–1 mm. long pedicel, similar. Calyx 2–2.5 mm. long, sparsely hairy. Corolla 3–3.5 mm. long, white; standard obovate with well-developed claw, glabrous (or fide Harms, with a few scattered hairs outside); wings practically as long as standard and slightly exceeding keel. Stamens 10, united or irregularly divided into 2 phalanges. Fruit not seen.

Notes
Sheets of Busse 580 (cited above) and Koerner in Herb. Amani 2248 (EA!) from near Lindi, Mtua, were distributed bearing the determination D. micrantha Harms, a name which was never published. These gatherings are, however, cited by Harms with the description of D. acariiantha.
