Notes
[Very variable in the size of the spikes, length of rays and crowding of the spikelets; a common form with subglobose or shortly obovoid spikes was described as var. subglobosus Kük. but is not clearly separable from specimens with laxer more cylindrical spikes (var. thomensis (C.B. Cl.) Kük.) which in turn run into the large form with more or less branched spikes described as M. nossibeensis Steud.)
