Information
Slender annual 3–15 cm. high with few, purple sheathed leaves and up to 8 sessile or stalked, ovate, starry spikes; distinguished from the previous (pecies by the shorter-pointed, sub-spiral glumes and disk at the base of the achene; sandy soil subject to occasional flooding.
