Information
Stems 6–9 in. long. Umbel congested into a compound head, 3/4–1 1/4 in. in diam., of 15–25 spikelets. Glumes chestnut, with a broad striated green band down the back; otherwise as C. aterrimus .
Distribution
Fernando Po Upper Guinea 9000 ft., Mann, 1466!
Notes
It may possibly be a subalpine depauperated state of C. aterrimus .
