Information
Much branched evergreen tree up to 18 m. high, with broad rounded crown. Leaves: petiole with rhachis 2–5 cm. long; stipules persistent, foliaceous, obliquely ovate to ovate-oblong, 0.7–1.5 cm. long; petiole 3–10 mm. long; leaflets (2–)4, sessile, elliptic to ovate-elliptic or obovate-elliptic, 3–12 cm. long, 2–7 cm. wide, mostly obtuse at apex, not emarginate. Panicles compact; axes pubescent, up to 1–2.5 cm. long; pedicels unusually long (1.5–3.5 cm.), glabrous, jointed about 5 mm. below the hypanthium. Flowers white. Sepals 4, 4–7 mm. long. Petals ± 7–8 mm. long, but damaged ones only examined. Pods unknown.

Notes
Harms states in E.J. 53: 460 (1915) that a specimen of leaves only (Holtz 971) collected in the Pugu Hills near Dar es Salaam may perhaps belong to C. longipedicellata.
