Information
Flowers small in small clusters. Calyx 1.5–3.5 mm. across when flattened out; calyx-lobes fleshy or turgid. Corolla about 1.5–2.5 mm. long; lobes abruptly acute, often very turgid in European forms but more membranous in African ones. Scales oblong, half as long as the corolla-tube, bridged low down. Styles and stigmas together 0.5–1 mm. long, about equalling one another or styles shorter than the stigmas.
