Information
twigs robust, cobwebbed; leaves very densely crowded, squarrose-reflexed, subdecurrent, subulate, striate (when dry) above; cilia on each side 4–5, about equalling the breadth of the leaf; outer inv. sc. similar to the leaves, spreading or squarrose. Very robust, with curved branches, the lesser ones umbellate or corymbose, all most closely covered with reflexed leaves. Lvs. 3/4–1 in. long, 1 l. wide, somewhat fleshy, when recent quite smooth above, but, in drying, the upper surface shrinks unequally and thus becomes striate.
