Information
Virgate perennial herb or subshrub with a number of ascending stems to 60 cm tall, branched above, appressed pubescent to tomentellous. Leaves shortly petiolate, 3-foliolate; leaflets mostly 8–25 × 3–10 mm, narrowly oblong-elliptic to elliptic or oblanceolate to obovate, appressed pubescent to sericeous at least beneath; stipules narrow, variously developed. Racemes mostly well developed, with a number of flowers laxly to rather closely arranged towards the top; bracts 2–6 mm long, linear to linear-lanceolate; bracteoles on upper part of the pedicel, small, filiform. Calyx 6–7 mm long, appressed pubescent; lobes narrowly attenuate-triangular, longer than the tube. Standard elliptic or elliptic-obovate, yellow, glabrous or with small scattered hairs near the apex outside; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 7.5–8.5 mm long, strongly rounded and crested behind the small beak. Pod 8–11 mm long, shortly stipitate, obliquely obovoid to oblong-ellipsoid, sericeous, 2–4-seeded. Seeds c. 3.5 mm long, oblique-cordiform, smooth, brown.
