Information
Stem suffruticose, erect, branched from the base, 1 1/2–2 ft. high, slightly downy. Stipules 1/4– 1/2 in. long, erect, semilunate, persistent. Petioles spreading, 1–1 1/2 in. long. Leaflets three elliptic-oblong, pale green, scarcely pubescent beneath, narrowed towards the base and about as long as the petiole. Flowers in lateral and terminal racemes. Calyx silky, cut down to a shallow cup, teeth linear-lanceolate. Corolla yellow, middle sized; standard 1/4 in. long, oval, striate. Pod sessile, oblong-cylindrical, subcompressed, an inch long, short-silky, 10–12-seeded.
