Notes
As indicated by R. Wilczek in F.C.B. 4: 215 (1953) this species is rather variable in the shape of the leaflets, the length of the hairs and whether hairs occur on the upper surface of the leaflets. Plants from around Mbala are exceptional in sometimes having distinctly arillate seeds, e.g. Mbala, Golf Course, fl. & fr. 12.iv.1959, McCallum-Webster 708 (BR; K); Mbala, Sandpits, fl. & fr. 17.iv.1961, Richards 13787 (K; SRGH).
