Names
Crassula minuta [family CRASSULACEAE]
Information
Annuals with erect branches 10-30 mm long and usually more or less wiry, glabrous. Leaves sessile, linear-elliptic, l-2(-3) X 0,5-1 mm, usually obtuse, more or less flat above, convex below, glabrous, fleshy, green to reddish brown. Inflorescence a thyrse with one to few dichasia, with 4-mer-ous flowers shortly pedicellate. Calyx: lobes elliptic-lanceolate, 1-1,5 mm long, bluntly acute, glabrous, green to reddish brown. Corolla more or less cup-shaped, scarcely fused basally, white or cream and often tinged red. Stamens with yellow(?) anthers. Squamae transversely oblong and abruptly cuneate, 0,4-0,5 x 0,5-0,6 mm, truncate, abruptly constricted downwards, almost membranous, pale yellow or white. Seeds 2-4, released through apical pore of follicle.

Range
Known only from the northern Cedarberg and Hantamsberg near Calvinia in the Cape Province; growing in shallow rock basins on top of the mountains. Flowering period: September, October.
