Information
stem sub-herbaceous, slender, diffuse, branching, retrorsely hispido-squamose; leaves connate, patent, short, ovate-oblong or ovate, subacute, flat, retrorsely squamose; cymes sessile, few-flowered, capitate, with subulate bracts and subsessile flowers; calyx-lobes 2/3 of corolla, lanceolate, acute, ciliate at back and keel; petals oblong, mucronate, recurved; styles subulate; squamæ minute, emarginate. A slender, weak-growing species with leaves, proportionately broader and shorter than others of this group, and small headlike tufts of whitish flowers. Leaves 3–4 lines long, 2–2 1/2 broad, horizontal. Heads 3–6–8-flowered. Corolla 3–4 lines long.
