Information
stem shrubby, slender; leaves opposite, petiolate, cordate-reniform, obtuse, cuneate at base, dotted above, glabrous, quite entire, smooth-edged; cymes pedunculate, panicled, laxly trichotomous with cordate bracts; calyx-lobes short, glabrous, ovate, acute, one-nerved; petals free, spreading, lanceolate; styles subulate; squamæ minute. A slender, succulent, shrubby-plant, 1–3 feet high, erect or diffuse, sometimes rooting at the nodes. Leaf-pairs 1/2–1 inch apart; petioles 2–8 lines long, cuneate; leaves 3/4–1 inch in diameter, conspicuously dotted. Panicles very lax, on longish, terminal peduncles. Flowers small, white.
