Information
A tree of 25–40 ft. or a shrub of 12–15 ft. Leaves oblong somewhat obovate or ovate-lanceloate, obtusely acuminate, narrowed at the base, with 7–8 lateral veins on each side of the clearly marked midrib, 2–5 by 2/3–2 1/3 in.; petiole 1/3– 1/2 in.; stipules ovate-lanceolate, rather obtuse. Inflorescence ovoid, about 3–4 in. long and wide. Capsule 1/4– 3/8 by 1/10– 1/6 in. Seeds 1/5 in. long.
Distribution
Lower Guinea Golungo Alto, Cazengo and Dembos, Welwitsch! (a magnificent tree, with the habit of Olea latifolia;Congo Lower Guinea Chr. Smith! (a shrub of 12–15 feet).
