Information
Perennial herb or shrublet, up to 50 cm high, with indumentum of stellate hairs; branches densely pubescent to tomentose. Leaves green and ± sparsely tomentellous to white tomentose above, grey to white and pubescent to tomentose beneath; petiole 1.5–20 mm long; blade ovate-elliptic to oblong or linear-lanceolate, 1–6.5(–8) x 0.2–1.8(–2) cm, rounded or truncate to acute at the apex, cuneate at the base, with serrate to widely dentate margin. Inflorescences tomentellous, leaf-opposed, (2–)3–7-flowered or some flowers solitary; peduncle 0.5–3 mm long; pedicel 3–9 mm long. Sepals 3–8 x 1–2 mm. Petals yellow, obovate-oblong, 3–6 x 2–4 mm, with hairy claw. Stamens 75–100. Ovary tomentose. Capsule 3-valved, 0.8–3.5 cm long, cylindrical to torulose, often slightly curved, floccose tomentose or with stellately hairy bristles. Seeds c. 2–2.5 mm long.
