Information
stem scarcely woody at base, erect or ascending, herbaceous, sparsely setose; leaves obovate, cuneate at base, the lower ones tapering into a petiole, coarsely toothed above the middle, sparsely scabrido-hispid, the uppermost depauperated; branches naked at the summit, 1-headed, thinly hispid; invol.-scales linear-subulate, glabrescent, equalling the disc; male fl. numerous, glabrous, fem. innumerable; recept. honeycombed and toothed.Many-stemmed, diffuse, 1–2 f. high, harsh to the touch. Lower leaves 2 1/2, upper 1–1 1/2 inches long, 3–6 lines wide, the teeth broad and shallow, blunt or sharp. Pedunc. 3–8 inches long, with 2–3 distant bracts. null
