Notes
Bakeyl yare, burkwa allele, jacjacood (Som.).Bremekamp recognised six species in subgen. Beckia Bremek. in Verh. K. Nederl.Akad. Wet., Afd. Natuurk., ser. 2, 48: 129–134 (1952), but these are here all regarded as forms of a single variable species. Verdcourt in Fl. Trop. E. Afr. (1976) thought that C. kenyense with pedicellate flowers can be distinguished from C. longitubum with sessile flowers, but the variation is continuous.
