Information
Shrub, climbing; branches villose, with rust-coloured hairs. Leaves shortly petiolate, opposite, oblong-elliptical, mucronate, 1 1/2–2 in. long, ferruginous, villose beneath, covered with long silky deciduous hairs above. Flowers in long woolly axillary spikes. Calyx-limb hemispherical, teeth almost obsolete. Petals small, obovate, entire, from a wedge-shaped base, reflexed. Stamens included. Fruit winged, elliptical, 1 in. long, emarginate, abrupt or slightly cordate at the base, covered with a short dark rich red pubescence.
