Information
Scandent shrub. Leaves opposite or subopposite; blade ± broadly elliptic, 1.5–11.5 x 1.1–5.5 cm, ± acuminate at the apex, glabrous or almost so, but with golden scales beneath; petiole 6–25 mm long. Flowers 4-merous, yellowish or white, in spikes. Lower and upper receptacle with reddish scales, the upper almost flat; disc hairy. Petals c. 1.5 x 0.25 mm, glabrous; filaments c. 3 mm long. Fruits 4-winged, subcircular in outline, 1.5–2 cm in diam., with reddish or golden scales, wings 7–9 mm wide; stipe 2–3 mm long.
