nearly glabrous, or innovations (sometimes densely) strigose; stems 1–2 1/2 ft. long, diffuse, branching; leaves 5 by 1 in., lanceolate; flowers densely clustered; sepals free, boat-shaped, 1/3 in. long, tips linear strigose; corolla 1 in. long, blue; stamens nearly equal, the three posticous (and the dorsal cell of capsule) rather smaller; capsule 1/4 in. long, pointed; seed 1 in each cell, oblong-ellipsoid. null
