A suffrutex, insavannah, sending up branches from a woody stock after burning; stems angular, glabrous, dark gland-dotted; flowers pink or purplish, 1 in. or more long; capsule obovoid, 3/4 in. long, gland-punctate; seeds densely clothed with long rusty hairs.
