Information
stems terete, simple or sparingly branched, leafy throughout, 1–2 1/2 ft. long; leaves few, radical, subrosulate, obovate-spathulate, obtuse or subacute, gradually narrowed to the base, 1/2–1 1/2 in. long, 2–4 lin. wide, soon vanishing; cauline in 4–8 remote pairs, lanceolate, acute, 1–3 in. long, 1–3 lin. wide; flowers in lax terminal panicles with branches 1–2 in. and peduncles 1/2–2 1/2 in. long, spreading; calyx 3–3 1/2 lin. long, divided two-thirds; lobes ovate-lanceolate, acuminate; corolla-tube cylindric, as long as the calyx; lobes ovate-lanceolate, acute, entire, 6–8 lin. long, 2 1/2–3 1/2 lin. wide; anthers slightly spiral; ovary oblong, acute, 3 1/2 lin. long. null

Notes
Closely allied to C. rosacea, Gilg, and perhaps only a form of that species, but readily distinguished by its narrower leaves and longer calyx-lobes.
