Information
Annual; culms 15–20 cm. high. Leaf-blades 1–2 cm. long, 1–3 mm. wide. Inflorescence 2–3 cm. long, the clusters with pilose pedicels. Outer spikelets 1–2 mm. long (excluding awn); glumes subulate, the lower 4–7 mm. long, the upper shorter than the lemmas; lower lemma ± tridentate and mucronate; upper lemma much reduced. Inner spikelet 2.5–3 mm. long; upper glume narrowly oblong, 1.5 mm. long; lower lemma oblong, tridentate; upper lemma shortly (1 mm.) awned.
