Corona with outer lob
Habitat
Huber classifies various infraspecific taxa under the umbrella-species C. campanulata G. Don. Until conclusive evidence is produced to support his view, it is contended that the differences between C. insignis and its allies, together with its isolated distribution, justify the retention of its specific status.
Use
31. Ceropegia insignis R. A. Dyer in Flower. PI. S. Afr. t.902 (1943). Type: Transvaal, Marico, grassveld, Louw 812 (PRE, holo.!).

Known only from the type locality near Lekker-lach in the Marico district of Transvaal, on a stony mountain slope in grassveld.
