Information
Shrub or small tree. Leaves linear-lanceolate, 5–15 x 0.5–1 cm, subsessile. Calyx-lobes c. 8 mm long. Corolla yellow; tube 10–35 mm long; lobes obovate, c. 30 x 15 mm. Stamens included. Drupe c. 2 x 3.5 cm. Seeds 2(–4), c. 1 cm long.
Range
Cultivated as an ornamental, for example in S2 and N3.

SOMALIA Lanza 11; Moggi & Bavazzano 477/1026; Sacco, Sappa & Ariello 168.
Notes
Yellow oleander (Eng.).Lippold in Feddes Repert. 91: 45–55 (1980) restricted Thevetia to a single species and placed the seven remaining species, including the one above, in the genus Cascabela Raf. However, the traditional circumscription of Thevetia is adopted here.
