Information
An annual or chamaephytic branched scabrid herb, erect 1-2 ft. high or prostrate; stem-leaves semi-amplexicaul, up to 2 in. long, the basal leaves of early growth larger; florets purple or mauve in spiny heads about 3/4 in. broad terminating leafy branches.
