Herb, duration and habit not known. Stem and branches slender, terete, rather finely striate, moderately furnished with pale multicellular hairs, branches diverging at 45 degrees. Inferior leaves not seen; superior stem leaves lanceolate-ovate, to c. 3.5 × 1.6 cm., shortly acuminate, acute or rather blunt, rapidly diminishing in size upwards (those of the branches very small), glabrous above, sparsely pilose along the nerves on the lower surface, cuneate to c. 5 mm. long petiole. Inflorescence creamy, terminal and (by branch reduction) axillary, unbranched, spiciform-thyrsoid, up to c. 20 × 1.6 cm.; partial inflorescences condensed cymes up to 1.5 cm. in diam. Bracts and bracteoles deltoid-ovate, stramineous when dry, 1.75–2.25 mm., shortly mucronate withe the excurrent, brownish midrib, glabrous or sparsely ciliate with multicellular hairs. Tepals 3–3.25 mm. long, oblong-elliptic, acute, glabrous, stramineous when dry, mucronate with the excurrent midrib, which is subtended on either side by one pair of long nerves extending well towards the apex and a pair of shorter nerves extending to c. halfway or less. Filaments with the free apices longer than the basal cup; no intermediate teeth present. Ovary 6–7-ovulate; stigmas 2–3, slender and flexuose, slightly longer than the c. 1 mm. long style. Capsule and seeds unknown.
