Catalpa bignonioides Walt. [family BIGNONIACEAE], Gard. in E. Afr. ed. 4: 107 (1957)). Indian Bean Tree.
Information
Tree to 10 m tall with rounded crown. Leaves simple, large, ovate; leaflets 7–30≈7–30 cm, with subcordate or truncate base. Corolla white with yellow and purple markings. Fruit narrowly cylindrical, up to 40 cm long, ridged.
Range
Native of North America.
Notes
