Information
Straggling unarmed shrub or small tree, 4 m. in height; bark smooth, grey. Leaf-lamina 3–9 × 2–5 cm., apex bluntly acuminate, margins entire and recurved, broadly cuneate at base, dark green, glossy above. Flowers in much-forked cymes, often 3 cm. across, on axillary peduncles c. 3 cm. long. Calyx puberulous. Petals white. Fruit an elongated longitudinally corrugated drupe, c. 8 × 4·5 mm., black at maturity.
Habitat
Margin of mountain forest, wooded gullies and riverine vegetation.
