bulb ovoid, 1/4– 1/3 in. diam., with a long neck; tunics brown, membranous; leaves 4–6, contemporary with the flowers, subulate, very slender, 2–4 in. long; peduncle filiform, spirally twisted, 2–4 in. long; flowers 1–3, rarely 4–6; pedicels 1–2 in. long; spathe-valves 2, small, linear, membranous; perianth pinkish-white; tube 1/8– 1/6 in. long; segments 1/2 in. long; stamens emerging but little from the perianth-tube; ovary globose, 1/12 in. diam.; capsule 1/4 in. diam. null
