[It is impossible to give here an account of the very difficult taxonomy of this critical genus. The present writer therefore, feels unable to deal here with the various hybrids and infraspecific taxa (mainly cultivars) within the genus, or to recognize C. sinense Jacq. as a distinct species occurring in our area (as stated by J. Y. Wilson in Nature 183 (4): 1142 (1959)-H. H.]
