Information
Twigs, petioles and leaves generally minutely (× 15 magnification) appressed-white-pubescent, sometimes glabrous. Leaves coriaceous, with the margin sometimes revolute. Flowers in tight clusters of 8–20 or more; pedicels generally minutely white-spreading-pubescent. Petals scarcely exceeding the sepals. Gynophore, in fruit, ± 2 mm. in diameter. Fig. 10/1, p. 61.

Notes
This variety is similar to var. subglabra, but differs in the minute pubescence, thicker leaves, more compact inflorescences and the stout gynophore of the fruit.
