Information
Twigs, petioles and leaves generally spreading-pubescent. Leaves leathery, with the margin sometimes revolute. Flowers in 8–many-flowered corymbose clusters; pedicels and sepals generally spreading-pubescent. Gynophore, in fruit, ± 1 mm. in diameter.

Notes
In its pubescence, which is variable in colour and quantity, var. rivae bears some resemblance to C. tomentosa Lam., from which it is readily distinguished by its smaller flowers and fruits.
