Notes
C. brachyandra is an extremely densely pubescent plant, which appears to be a form of this variety, having densely reddish-brown pubescent, leafless, somewhat elongate flowering shoots. It may well represent a hybrid between this variety and var. scheffleri. It has not been recollected in recent times.
