Glabrous ornamental shrub, unarmed or with small prickles; pinnae 3–10 pairs; leaflets 5–11(–13) pairs per pinna, oblong-elliptic, 5–18(–28) x 4–9(–15) mm; flowers in long racemes,with scarlet, red and yellow, orange-red or yellow petals 15–25 mm long; filaments scarlet, 3–6.5 cm.
Range
Cultivated at least in N2, C2, S1, S2 and S3 probably native of tropical America.
