Range
This taxon occurs throughout eastern Africa, from Ethiopia southwards and southwestwards to the eastern part of the Democratic Repulic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, South Africa (the Northern Province) and Mozambique, usually above 1 000 m. Parasitic on various hosts, often shrubby, but predominantly on herbaceous Acanthaceae on the floor and edges of lowland and upland rain forests, bamboo and riverine forests. Map 4.
