stem erect, shrubby, terete, branched; leaves decussately sub-connate, subulate-trigonous, much longer than the internodes, fleshy, flattish above, incurved, acute, glabrous; cyme terminal, pedunculate, corymboso-paniculate, with toothlike bracts; calyx-lobes short, ovate, bluntish, keeled; petals connate at base, spreading, ovate, subacute; styles shortly subulate; squamæ minute, emarginate. Stem 1–2 feet high, glabrous, corymbosely branched; branches suberect. Leaf pairs 3–6 lines apart; leaves 1 1/2–1 3/4 inch long. 2–2 1/2 lines thick, widely spreading at base, falcato-incurved. Peduncle 2–3 inches long; panicle much branched, the divisions densely cymose. Flowers small and white.
