Information
voluble, subglabrous; leaves broadly reniform, pointless, glabrous or sparsely pubescent, pale underneath and conspicuously reticulated; male cymes pedunculate, few flowered, sepals nearly glabrous; racemes of female flowers elongate, with large, leafy, reniform bracts; drupes pedicellate, glabrous, tuberculated. A slender, distantly branched, vinelike climber, either quite glabrous or thinly sprinkled, with close pressed hairs, especially on the lower surface of the leaves. Petioles 2–3 inches long. Inflorescence of both kinds supra-axillary, with a gland below the base of the peduncle.
