rhizome creeping, moderately stout; pseudobulbs narrowly ovoid-oblong, slightly 4-angled, 1–1 1/4 in. long, 2-leaved; leaves narrowly oblong, obtuse, 2–2 1/4 in. long, 1/3– 1/2 in. broad; scapes 3 1/2–4 in. long, with 3 or 4 oblong obtuse sheaths below the inflorescence; rhachis rather narrow, about 1–1 1/4 in. long, 1/6 in. broad, dark purple; bracts triangular-ovate, acute, about 1/6 in. long; flowers not numerous, lurid purple; dorsal sepal linear-oblong, obtuse, somewhat recurved, concave, 1/5– 1/6 in. long; lateral sepals obliquely ovate, with falcate acute apex, 1/8 in. long; petals linear, falcately curved, 1/6 in. long; lip fleshy, acute, strongly recurved from a broad base, 1/12 in. long; column short, with broad wings; capsule oblong, 1/2 in. long. null
