perennial, acaulescent, with a large tuberous rootstock; leaves rosulate, subterete, slender, 1/2 ft. long, 1/12– 1/8 in. diam. low down; peduncle slender, fragile, 1–1 1/2 ft. long; raceme lax, 4–6 in. long, an inch in diameter; lower pedicels 1/4 in. long; bracts minute, deltoid-cuspidate; perianth bright yellow, 1/4 in. long; capsule the size of a pea. null
