Information
Stem 1–4 ft. high, glabrous below. Leaves broadly ovate, cordate or rounded below, shortly acuminate above, margin regularly serrate, clad on both surfaces with soft white hairs; petiole winged above, and especially while young densely covered with hairs on the upper side. Inflorescence a somewhat close panicle, glandular-pubescent. Calyx-segments linear, glandular-pubescent, the upper longest and somewhat broadened towards the apex. Corolla-tube 4 lin. long; lips 7–10 lin. long, the upper with hairs on the outside, the lower with three short teeth. Staminodes glandular. Capsule 1 in. long, glandular-pubescent, with about 16 seeds to each valve.
