plant 1 1/2 ft. high, with stout leafy stem; leaves oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, sheathing at the base, the lower 1 in. broad, the rest narrower; racemes elongate, 1/2 ft. long, dense, many-flowered; bracts membranous, very acuminate, longer than the pedicels; dorsal sepal galeate, elliptic-oblong, canaliculate, acuminate, incurved, 6–7 lin. long; lateral sepals oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, reflexed, 7 lin. long; petals 2-partite, the upper lobe linear, acute; lower lobe elongate-linear, acute, curved, rather shorter than the sepals; lip 3-partite; lobes elongate, narrowly linear, the lateral pair rather shorter and acuminate at the apex; spur elongate, slightly thickened above, subobtuse, about 1 in. long; column nearly 1/4 in. long; rostellum acuminate, its side lobes 2 1/2 lin. long; stigmas clavate, 5 lin. long; capsule fusiform-oblong, 1 1/4 in. long. null
