Lower leaves not seen; medial oblong, upper ovate, all sharply taper-pointed. Pedicels 1–1 1/2 inch long, thread-like, straight or curved. Invol. pale, all the scales very narrow.—Differs from B. alata in being green, not rusty; with shorter and less copious pubescence; broader wings to stem; acuminate leaves; and long, slender pedicels.
