Information
Climber with long slender stems. Leaves with 2 leaflets and sometimes tendrils; leaflets elliptic to oblong-ovate, 6–15≈3.5–6.5 cm, shortly to long-acuminate, entire. Flowers 1–4, axillary or appearing terminal; calyx 4–6 mm long, truncate or minutely denticulate; corolla lavender, pink or pale purplish with white centre; tube 2.5–5.5 cm long; lobes ovate, 1–2.5≈1.5–2 cm. Fruit ellipsoid, 4–7≈1.8–2.8 cm, densely echinate; seeds discoid-cordiform, 2.5–3.5≈1.2–3 cm.
Range
Native of Central and Northern America.
Notes
