Information
Root woody; branches 1 ft. long or more, minutely pubescent, as are the innovations. Leaves up to 4 by 1 in., oblanceolate, obtuse, attenuate at the base, subsessile, when mature minutely pubescent on the midrib beneath. Flowers approximated in the upper axils; bract 1/3– 1/2 by 1/10– 1/12 in., linear or slightly spathulate. Posticous sepal 3/4 by 1/4– 1/3 in., quadrate-oblong, tip short triangular, minutely pubescent; anticous calyx-segment nearly similar but 2-nerved and the tip minutely notched; two inner sepals 1/4 in. long, very pubescent; whole calyx with gland-tipped several-celled hairs. Corolla cream colour; tube 1 in. long. Ovary glabrous.
