Information
Annual. Culms 30–60 cm. high. Raceme 2–4.5 cm. long, the rhachis membranously winged, 3–4 mm. wide, purple. Spikelets 2.5–3 mm. long. Superior glume and inferior lemma obscured by tufts of white hair c. 1 mm. long, terminating in an awn 1.5 mm. long.

Mozambique N Ribáuè, near Serra Nametere, 6.ii.1962, Carvalho 508 (K).
