Information
Small tree. Leaves: petiole 7–10 mm. long, glabrous, the interpulvinary part as long as the pulvini or longer; lamina elliptic- or obovate-acuminate, up to 6 cm. long and 2.8 cm. wide, rounded at the base, prolonged into an obtuse acumen at the apex; lower surface pubescent at first but glabrescent, the upper surface glabrous. Flowers 2–7 in short axillary racemes, the racemes sometimes aggregated into a short pseudopanicle; pedicels 8–15 mm. long; bracts ovate, concave, up to 1 mm. long; bracteoles broadly ovate, concave, up to 1 mm. long, sometimes striate, caducous, inserted 1.5–3 mm. below calyx. Buds obtuse at the apex. Calyx 5–6 mm. long, pubescent with minute appressed hairs, splitting down one side, the apex entire or divided into 2–3 pieces. Petals ± 7 mm. long. Stamen-filaments glabrous; anthers ± 0.6 mm. long. Ovary ± 2.5 mm. long, greyish tomentose. Pods not seen.
